Box Taco's
INGREDIENTS:
TACO MEAT
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup refried beans
1 cup cold water
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon masa corn flour
1 tablespoon all purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon Accent seasoning (or seasoned salt)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1 dash black pepper
1 dash cayenne pepper
1 pkg corn tortilla
vegetable oil for frying, see NOTE
paper towels
waxed paper and cookie sheet for freezing
zip locks to freeze in
American cheese & shredded Iceburg Lettuce

TACO SAUCE see NOTE
1 cup cold water
1/4 cup Heinz Chili Sauce
2 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon arrowroot OR cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon Season-All salt
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/4 teaspoon granulated onion (or onion powder)
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon ground coriander (not important)
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
1 pinch ground cloves
1 pinch (smoked if possible) paprika

NOTE: You can fry in deep fryer OR, use some a somewhat deep
frying pan to pour oil into to fry (about 1 inch or
so, so Taco will almost be covered).
You can use your own favorite Taco sauce (the smooth kind with
NO chunks), or make the one here in recipe TACO MEAT

DIRECTIONS:
Brown ground beef. Add remaining TACO MEAT ingredients and
bring to boil for a few min. Cool. Puree in food
processor. Microwave a few corn tortillas at a time. Put about 3
tablespoons of meat mixture in each, fold up, and
place on waxed paper lined cookie sheet. Freeze.

TACO SAUCE
Mix all the Taco Sauce ingredients in a pan, boil for a few min. and
allow to cool.

DIRECTIONS:
Heat up vegetable oil to about 350*F (in deep fryer or frying pan).
With tongs, place "test" frozen taco in, and adjust
heat if necessary. You want to fry them all quickly, about 1 min or
less, till crispy and browned, and place on paper
towels. While still warm to touch, carefully place 1 slice American
Cheese inside (CUT DIAGONALLY), top with
a bit of Taco Sauce, and top with shredded Lettuce.
