Grilled Mussels
and
Salamon
These recipes are so simple it's silly.
For the Mussels, rinse and remove the beard with a
knife.For 6 mussels put them in disposable tin pan
and add these ingredients:
Garlic cloves diced
Salt and Pepper
dash Olive Oil
small can of Tomato sauce
diced fresh Parsley (optional)
Mix it up and put on grill, stirring here and there.
When the Mussels begin to open up, cover with a
sheet of tin foil so they can steam a bit.
This recipe is similar to the Mussels recipe in a red
sauce found
HERE, with one important exception:
you get the smoky flavor of cooking them on the grill,
a taste that can't be beat!!

For the Grilled Salmon, I elected to not put directly
onto the grill for fear of too high a heat and having
the Salmon fall apart. Instead, I put it in a disposable
tin pan with Butter, Capers and a splash of White
Wine. I covered it with tin foil so it could
"poach/steam" on the grill. It only took a few minutes
to cook it through too. Again, you get that smokey
flavor from the grill. The ingredients are the same as I
use
HERE.
I believe that you DON'T need to spend all kinds of
money on "wood" planks that are a one time charm.
For what? If you want the wood taste, then use wood
chips (soaked in water), and cover the grill.
I always save and wash in dishwasher the
"disposable" tins. At least for several times.
