SAUSAGE BREAD ROLL
YIELD: 6 or more slices

INGREDIENTS:
1 frozen white bread dough
1 pound ground sausage
1 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup pizza toppings (see note)
bath (see note)
parchment paper
flour
dried oregano (optional)

NOTE: Pizza toppings can include diced
up slightly sauteed Green Pepper, Basil
(with stem removed and chopped
up), fresh Spinach (with stem removed
and chopped up), etc.

BATH: There are several ways to get a
"crispy" outer crust. One way is to brush
on some beaten egg. Another is to
brush on some melted Butter. In addition
to this, you can also put a pan of water
UNDER the baking roll.

DIRECTIONS: Thaw out one loaf of the
frozen white bread dough according to
pkg directions. Brown the sausage,
and set aside. On a floured surface, roll
out the dough till it's about 1/2 inch or
LESS thick. Spread on the Pizza
Sauce, then Sausage, shredded
Mozzarella, and any other toppings you
want. Roll up and close outside openings
by tucking in. Brush on the Egg Bath or
melted Butter if desired. Sprinkle some
dried Oregano over the top. Place on
cookie sheet that is lined with parchment
paper. Bake 350*F, check every 20 min
until bread is browned. Let it sit for a
good 10 minutes before slicing into it.
You can also reheat slices on a sheet of
tin foil in oven.
