Slow Cooker
Country Chili
INGREDIENTS:

1 pound ground beef
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped
1 and 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 (15-ounce) can petite diced tomato
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (15-ounce) can dark red kidney beans
1 (15-ounce) can beef broth (or water)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
some salt and pepper, to taste
some shredded cheddar cheese, chopped red onions, and
sour cream, for garnish

DIRECTIONS:
1. In a saute pan, brown and crumble ground beef with
celery, onion, and garlic over medium-high heat. Drain
excess grease and pour beef mixture into your slow cooker.
2. Open cans of tomatoes, tomato sauce, and kidney beans
(do not rinse or drain), and beef broth. Dump those into
your slow cooker.
3. Add chili powder, cumin, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix
thoroughly. Add salt and pepper to taste.
4. Cover with lid and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours.
5. Serve with toppings.
